Week 6 Top 25 Picks


#1 Alabama vs. Georgia State, 12:21pm ET, GamePlan/ESPN3
Sleeper for Alabama.  Chance to work out some kinks going into the second half of the season.

Nick- Alabama, 38-3

#2 Oregon @ Colorado, 6pm ET, Pac-12 Network
Oregon is scoring nearly 60 points per game.  Colorado is not.  Ducks will roll and ESPN’s incessant hype will only grow. 
Jeremy- Oregon, 56-17
Nick- Oregon, 63-17

#3 Clemson @ Syracuse, 3:30pm ET, ABC/ESPN2
Interesting matchup for Clemson on the road, in a dome.  No problem for Tajh Boyd and the Tigers.
Jeremy- Clemson, 37-24
Nick- Clemson, 45-32

#4 Ohio State @ #16 Northwestern, 8pm ET, ABC
Northwestern will give the Buckeyes everything they can handle but in the end, OSU is just too strong.

#5 Stanford vs. #15 Washington, 10:30pm ET, ESPN
Washington is gaining in the North but Stanford is at home and will edge out the Huskies.

#6 Georgia @ Tennessee, 3:30pm ET, CBS
Maybe a little letdown after a tough stretch for Georgia but the Dawgs have done too much so far this season to let one slip now.

Toughest challenge yet for the ‘Noles.  Can the defense overcome a shaky start to the season?

IDLE, Next game, Oct. 12 @ Ole Miss

#10 LSU @ Mississippi State, 7pm ET, ESPN
Look for LSU to regroup and take out some frustration after a tough loss last week.

Nick- LSU, 41-30

#11 Oklahoma vs. TCU, 7pm ET, FOX
Oklahoma looks like the best team in the Big-12 but they’ll get a test from an up and down Horned Frog team.
Jeremy- Oklahoma, 24-17
Nick- Oklahoma, 38-28

#12 UCLA 34, Utah 27
UCLA survived one in Utah. 

#13 South Carolina vs. Kentucky, 7:30pm ET, GamePlan
Kentucky will play hard but they’re just not good enough to give the Gamecocks much of a challenge.

#14 Miami vs. Georgia Tech, 3:30pm ET, ESPNU
‘Canes offense is just too much.
Jeremy- Miami, 38-31

#17 Baylor vs. West Virginia, 8pm ET, FOX Sports 1
WVU is coming off a huge win over Oklahoma State.  Can they keep it rolling against Baylor?  I think not.

#18 Florida vs. Arkansas, 7pm ET, ESPN2
Arkansas has lost two straight.  Florida is banged up.  Upset? 
Jeremy- Florida, 20-17

#19 Michigan vs. Minnesota, 3:30pm ET, ABC/ESPN2
Hopefully, Michigan used their bye week productively.  Minnesota can beat Michigan if the Wolverines play like they did in their last two games.

#20 Texas Tech @ Kansas, 12pm ET, FOX Sports 1
Texas Tech should have no trouble handling the Jayhawks.

The Cowboys are back home after a tough loss last week.  They should win this one.
Jeremy- Oklahoma State, 35-24

#22 Arizona State @ Notre Dame, 7:30pm ET, NBC (Cowboys Stadium)
Both need this win.  Both teams seem to be going in different directions.  Why we both picked the Irish?  Who knows.

#23 Fresno State @ Idaho, 5pm ET
Don’t bother.  The highlight(s) will be on ESPN.

Don’t sleep on 3-1 Auburn.  I think they steal one.
Jeremy- Auburn, 28-27
Nick- Ole Miss, 35-31
