Nick’s pick-Alabama, 31-24
Jeremy’s pick- Alabama, 31-30
#24 TCU @ Texas Tech
The Big 12
is wide open. Yes there’s a lot of
football to be played but TCU is banged up and struggling offensively and TTech
has scored 102 points in two games and their quarterback has 780 passing yards
and seven touchdowns. Nick’s pick-TCU, 45-42
Jeremy’s pick- TCU, 30-27
#16 UCLA @ #23 Nebraska
Few teams go
to Lincoln and win but Nebraska’s defense is sketchy and UCLA has a dynamic
offense. Both teams really need this
non-conference win.Jeremy’s pick- UCLA, 48-41
Nick’s pick-UCLA, 41-40
The Gamecocks are coming off a tough loss to Georgia and can’t afford another loss if they plan on getting back into the SEC East race. Vanderbilt almost beat SC last year and you know James Franklin will have his team fired up.
Jeremy’s pick- South Carolina, 34-31
Nick’s pick- South Carolina, 35-21
Mack Brown can’t sustain back to back losses but with the turnover at the d-coordinator position things aren’t looking good.
Jeremy’s pick- Ole Miss, 28-24
Nick’s pick-Texas, 48-45
We should find out a lot about both teams after this game. Wisconsin has looked good in their two wins but there’s a lot of hype surrounding the Sun Devils.
Nick’s pick-Wisconsin, 30-27
Jeremy’s pick- Wisconsin, 37-34
Air Force @ Boise State
Big early
season divisional game in the Mountain West and two teams that look like
they’re going in opposite directions. Jeremy’s pick- Boise, 34-17
Nick’s pick- Boise State, 38-21
Kentucky found an offense last week. Can they carry that over to this week and can Mark Stoops defense make a few big plays?
Jeremy’s pick- Louisville, 27-23
Nick’s pick-Louisville, 42-24
These teams are reflections of their respective coaches. BC is gritty and competitive. USC looks uninspired and confused. Perhaps the only coach in the country that has to win more than Mack Brown… Lane Kiffin.
Jeremy’s pick- Boston College, 24-23
Nick’s pick- Boston College, 30-21
Illinois got a big win last week and are now 2-0. The Huskies have struggled on the road under Sarkisian but had a bye week to prepare.
Jeremy’s pick- Washington, 31-24
Nick’s pick-Washington, 38-35
After last week, this game got a little more interesting. Cal’s run a mindboggling 99 and 95 plays in their first two games and have averaged 470 passing yards. Braxton Miller is questionable and this looks like it could be a trap game for the Buckeyes.
Jeremy’s pick- Ohio State, 41-31
Nick’s pick- Ohio State, 38-10
#21 Notre Dame @ Purdue
Notre Dame
escaped a near miss at Purdue last year.
This year, they’re coming off a tough loss to Michigan. Are they in for a letdown?Jeremy’s pick- Notre Dame, 38-13
Nick’s pick- Notre Dame, 28-13
‘Famous Jameis’ will be on display in front of his home crowd. After that week 1 performance against Pitt you’ve got to tune in to see what he does next.
Jeremy’s pick- Florida State, 41-17
Nick’s pick- Florida State, 38-13
Questions abound in Sooner-land. Offensive struggles and now a quarterback switch have made the Oklahoma faithful a little uneasy. Tulsa should help get them back on track.
Jeremy’s pick- Oklahoma, 35-10
Nick’s pick-Oklahoma, 31-14
Tennessee is 2-0 and things look promising. That said, at Oregon the Volunteers are going to get steamrolled. I don’t what to hear any Pac-12 over SEC nonsense. This is the equivalent of Alabama-Washington State.
Jeremy’s pick- Oregon, 52-31
Nick’s pick- Oregon, 52-35
Come on! The Pokes are coming off two great offensive performances and the defense might have finally clicked. At least tune in for Brett Smith (834 total yards and 8 TD’s).
Jeremy’s pick- Wyoming, 45-17
Nick’s pick- Wyoming, 48-24
Colorado is 2-0… Colorado… Those two wins pretty much equal the sum of the last few years in Boulder. The Buffs will need an ever bigger effort against the high-powered offense of Fresno. 2-1 isn’t bad.
Jeremy’s pick- Fresno State, 45-38
Nick’s pick- Fresno State, 52-35
Can Eastern Washington make it two wins over FBS opponents? Toledo is 0-2 and needs a win.
Jeremy’s pick- Eastern Washington, 41-38
Nick’s pick- Toledo, 31-30
Utah is fresh off a 70-point performance against Weber State and takes on a suspect Oregon State defense. The Utes are trying to climb the Pac-12 ladder and get back into a bowl game, while Oregon State needs a win against a good conference opponent.
Jeremy’s pick- Utah, 34-31
Nick’s pick- Utah, 42-38
