Must Watch

Boise State @ Fresno State
This is big time Mountain West tilt between arguably the two best teams in the MWC.  Both teams enter with very high expectations, not just on the conference level, but hoping to break into the BCS.  Boise State has won the last seven meetings.
Jeremy’s pick- Boise State, 36-31
Nick’s pick- Fresno State, 41-38

#6 LSU vs. Auburn
Three weeks ago you might not have looked twice at this matchup.  My, how things change.  Both teams come in 3-0 and are playing really good offense.  The edge hast to go to LSU at home but don’t be surprised if Auburn makes it interesting.
Jeremy’s pick- LSU, 34-31
Nick’s pick- LSU, 38-21

Michigan State @#22 Notre Dame
Had Notre Dame followed up the loss to Michigan with a good win over Purdue, I’d be a little more confident in the Irish.  But they didn’t and I’m not.  The Spartan’s have mostly played patty-cake this season and I’ll be curious to see them play a good football team.  In the end, I have more confidence in Notre Dame to move the ball past the 50 than I do Michigan State.
Nick’s pick- Notre Dame, 27-20
Jeremy’s pick- Notre Dame, 17-16

#23 Arizona State @ #5 Stanford
This should be an interesting matchup between two teams with drastically contrasting styles.  ASU survived an official blunder in the desert last weekend but they have some explosiveness on offense if they can clean up a few miscues.  Stanford has been good in their first two games but hasn’t looked dominant.  I think we’ll see the real Stanford on Saturday and they’ll dominate the trenches consistently, and stymie ASU’s offense.
Jeremy’s pick- Stanford, 36-17
Nick’s pick- Stanford, 27-10

Under the Radar

#3 Clemson @ NC State
The Thursday night matchup could be interesting.  Clemson has had a week off and should roll but strange things seem to happen to good ACC teams when they go to NC State at night.  Clemson’s last trip to NC State was a 37-13 loss in 2011.
Jeremy’s pick- Clemson, 38-27
Nick’s pick- Clemson, 31-28

UNC @ Georgia Tech
This is an interesting ACC Coastal matchup between two very different teams.  Larry Fedora’s up tempo, spread attack against Paul Johnson’s triple-option.  Last year, this was the highest scoring ACC game ever with GT winning 68-50.  UNC hasn’t beaten GT since 2008.
Jeremy’s pick- Georgia Tech, 37-34
Nick’s pick- Georgia Tech, 42-31

Air Force vs. Wyoming
Big game in the Mountain division.  Air Force is 1-2 and dropped two conference games already.  Wyoming is off to an impressive 2-1 start and averaging 538 yards per game.  Wyoming won 25-17 in their last trip to Colorado Springs.
Jeremy’s pick- Wyoming, 41-34
Nick’s pick- Wyoming, 42-38

Arkansas @ Rutgers
Hear me out here.  Arkansas is off to a good start after a miserable 2013.  They still have some kinks to workout but seem to be improving.  Rutgers has put up a lot of points and will be challenge for the Razor backs at home.
Nick’s pick- Rutgers, 37-28
Jeremy’s pick- Arkansas, 38-34

Best of the Rest

CSU @ #1 Alabama
I suppose the only real hook here is Nick Saban going against former coordinator Jim McElwain.  Coming off a historically bad defensive performance, Nick Saban will have his boys dialed in and ‘Bama will easily dispatch CSU.
Jeremy’s pick- Alabama, 42-10
Nick’s pick- Alabama, 45-3

Tennessee @ #19 Florida
What kind of offense will show up for the Gators?  If they fall behind a potentially potent Tennessee offense, will they be able to recover?  At Florida the Gators always have an edge and should win this game but they might get a good test.
Jeremy’s pick- Florida, 24-23
Nick’s pick- Florida, 21-17

Utah @ BYU
“The Holy War.” An intrastate rivalry game with both teams showing flashes of really good play.  Utah is 2-1 but coming off a conference loss to Oregon State.  The Utes have shown that they can score lots of points but BYU’s defense, led by Kyle Van Noy, is dominant.
Jeremy pick- BYU, 37-36
Nick’s pick- Utah, 35-27

#8 Florida State vs. Bethune-Cookman
The Seminoles are off to a hot 2-0 start and have outscored their first two opponents 103-20.  BCC is 3-0 and coming off a win over FBS Florida International.  The Seminoles should have no problem taking care of the Wildcats.
Jeremy’s pick- FSU, 52-14
Nick’s pick- FSU, 49-10
